Restless night.
Dreamed of zombies. Some hadn't turned all the way yet and still had thinking minds. Found a "safe" house but that started getting invaded. Killed so many zombies. My mom (not my mom) tried to shoot one of the smart ones but missed. I tried to shoot but was out of bullets. I ripped her legs off at the knees to try and slow her down. She was one mean bitch. I psyched her out by running into a room and pretending to crawl out the side window. She ran outside, around the side of the house and I then bolted out the front of the house where "mom was waiting for me to help escape. Started climbing up a tree to jump onto the roof...and woke up drenched in sweat. I must've been clenching my teeth because my jaws hurt like hell. Ugh.

Toxic A Toxic Dream is usually a very realistic, upsetting dream that is most likely to occur when your body's cleansing system is overloaded during sleep. They are usually terrible nightmares and their purpose is often simply as a signal that you went to bed in a physically toxic state. These dreams can result from a number of factors the day before, including:
* Eating refined carbohydrates (sugar, white flour), processed or junk food, additives or preservatives.
* Eating any foods within 2 hours before going to bed.
* Ingesting drugs or other substances that stress the body.
* Encountering environmental toxins (mold, exhaust fumes, etc.).
* Being stressed (stress hormone by-products load the body's cleansing system just like external toxins do).
* Being emotionally toxic, such as going to bed angry or hateful (holding on to emotional upset creates a stressful physical state).
* Not getting enough rest (sleep-deprivation robs the body of its critical nighttime cleansing cycle, leaving more toxins in the body).
I had something like this maybe 15 years ago, and I still remember it:
I was walking by the side of my house, which was totally flooded, it was like a deep lake. Looking into it, I saw a bunch of dismembered limbs float to the top. I actually just shrugged that off in the dream, so my brain had to get a little more intense. I went into the backyard, and I saw this woman sitting on a dead tree stump. She was bald, had pointy Mr. Spock ears, and was gnawing on a leg. "Sharon", she kept cooing, each time she bit into the leg. Our eyes met, she had wicked cat-eyes. She looked me over, and then coo'd my name, as a big toothy grin came over her face! That did it. I woke up, and discovered my arm was totally asleep, to the point where I couldn't even feel me pinch it. Our brains are devious things, are they not? :) I guess mine decided to wake me up so I could tend to my arm...
